Each WVA student follows the curriculum from their “home school," and is taught via a 1:1 or 2:1 teacher student ratio during their time at Waterville Valley Academy. On average, 300 different courses per year are taught at WVA, including a full slate of Honors classes, 13 AP classes and three foreign languages: French, Spanish and Latin. The WVA learning environment is unique in atmosphere, free from the common distractions in most schools, with direct instruction from their WVA teacher. WVA teachers maintain regular communication with their counterpart in each student’s home school, to assure the scope and sequence of instruction is on par with their class at home. At the conclusion of their term of enrollment at WVA, each student will resume study at their home school and pick up their curriculum at the same place and pace as their peers at home.
